Trapped together in an inky, reddish-purple realm of nothingness, Nekojin - or rather, James - held the transmuted form of his close friend to him. Fiona bore her familiar dog-eared form, and was already changing... hair becoming longer, clothes changing, a worried scowl crossing her face as she tossed and turned. The weathercat could feel the dark power around them, feel it as his wings fluffed out, as the invisible energy snaked around them. In Nekojin's head, James dashed metaphysical tears from his eyes, then spoke quietly into the head of the toon who had been sharing his body.
"If she goes, we go. We'll lose her, we'll lose your sister, we've lost..."
The words made the fluffy weathercat pause, his pained expression shifting into a scowl. His hair lifted slightly as he clutched Inu-Fiona close, and his eyes bore a familiar yellow glow to them. They were trapped, but he was not about to let the words of his host come true, and the weathercat channelled every iota of his lightning power into a furious outward burst of energy.
The blast seemed to slice through the darkness, ringing them in a dome of sparkling electrical energy. Nekojin growled - a low, feline sound -, and kept Inu-Fiona against him, one hand lifted to support his shield as they reappeared in the mansion, fragments of the dragon's ethereal body swirling around them as the creature began to pull itself together, expression one of distinct pain.
